Turns out that this plant was dumped their when another neighbor was cleaning out her flower beds. Apparently it is quite resilient since it was dumped in the empty lot across from them and still it grew. I figured it was still pretty and went back there and dug it up and planted it in my flower bed
! Hopefully it will do okay with the new transplant and make it next year. It sure would be pretty to photograph next year!
