With his sweet love and his lovely lashes…Oh, wait!!! That didn’t sound very boyish did it? Okay, lets try this again…I am in love with his loyalty and compassion… and his lovely lashes :)!

I Heart Faces - Fix it Friday

This weeks picture was so challenging for me. She asked for the picture to have less shadow on her face while still keeping the blue skies…Yep a huge challenge!

I selected the little girl and did a layer-but to her. Then I took the background and decreased the brightness so I could increase the color for when I ran an action to lighten her up. I am quite certain that there are other ways to do this stuff, but until I totally figure it out, this will have to be my backdoor. After I did that I merged the two layers back together and ran the CoffeeShop Vivid 2 action so that it would naturally add vignette to the background.

After all that, the picture was pretty grainy so I ran the free Noiseware software and took the noise out of it. At first I didn’t think I had done enough, but in the end, now when they are side by side, it actually looks pretty good.Whew! That one took way longer than some of the other Fix it Fridays I have tried out.

I just love this!

I love that you can take this simple picture below and spice it up without losing the integrity of the emotion. Love it!

I ran the Coffeeshop Butterscotch action that I have so come to love. Then I ran the MCP Actions free Texture Applicator action to get the background. I guess the benefit of plain painted walls is that you can mess around with them and it is okay!
I am also thankful that even though he was in no mood for me to take his picture that it still made for a great picture. He didn’t realize that he was giving me just what I had hoped for!

Wednesday Swimmin’

Do you see it, yep my little man is swimmin’ without a life vest. He figured it all out ;)!

 

…and my girly, yep she did too!

This is Will being a motorboat. Remember the picture above of him blowing up this little tube? He did it all by himself and then he ran around the pool like a little motorboat with a huge smile on his face. It was amazing that this little guy could swim SOOOOO fast!

This Wednesday routine has indeed been one of the kids’ favorite parts of the week! I am glad that they are able to have tons of fun in the middle of this bitter cold winter!

Cows

On my way to get milk I drive by this farm each time. I am always tempted to stop and take pictures, but haven’t bothered until today. Cows are funny in that they will stop what they are doing just to stare at me. Funny things. Anyway, I know this is the same picture below, but I wasn’t sure which one I liked better, so I thought I would share all three of them!
