Clarisse loved getting her nails painted!
Will’s birthday was actually just perfect for little man’s dreams. As like his brother, Will loves the drums!
Then it was time for some yummy cake and ice cream and a chance to break into song. “Happy Birthday to you!”
He opened some presents and was quite tickled to find lovely things behind the paper.
My little cowboy :)!
Happy Birthday little man!
Today I spent some time with the Central MN Camera Club at Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud, MN. It is a most beautiful garden and a photographer’s dream! It was a cloudy day and very foggy morning since it had rained in the night.Thankfully though the rains stopped in plenty of time to take pictures. Above are a few of the photographers that joined me.
I took 287 pictures today…yeah, sounds like a typical day for me, LOL! Below are 3 of them and the rest….well they will saved for later on when the weather is cold and the leaves are gone and all I see outside is gray, brown and white. Lets just call that drab! Winter here in MN doesn’t lend to colorful beauty, but this garden is very refreshing and will be fun to enjoy when it is indeed drab. I won’t even be editing the rest of the pictures until then. I just grabbed a few, did a quick edit and threw them out here for you to see where I was today.
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful day as much as I did!
In the pursuit of color, colored hair falls nicely into my goals :)! Clarisse was happy to jump right in and get her hair painted! Here she is before hand.
I would have to say she loved every minute of it!
I ran out to Creative Memories today and thought I would take a quick picture over the interstate out on Opportunity Drive. It is actually fun to see the clouds overhead shortly before the rains fell.
I took a million pictures at the Meeker County Fair in Litchfield on August 1st. Since I took so many, I figured I would have to start a new series with some of the pictures I took there. Hope you like them as much as I do :)!
What a wonderful contest here: http://donnadowney.typepad.com/simply_me/2009/09/color-inspires-me.html
I can relate to her passion for color! So check out the post and enter for your chance to win something wonderful (well if you like pretty fabrics!)
In fact I love it so much that I might just knock it up as my favorite summer picture! I hope to post more from that day sometime, but in the mean time, one will have to do :)!
After using blogger for my photography blog now for a number of months, finally, finally I have made it my own and created a personal banner. Sad that it took so long, but thankfully it is done now!!
I even made this little button to put on my more private family typepad site to this one…this stuff takes time to figure out, but looks kinda cool in the end!
Here is the code for it: <center><a href="http://inhotpursuitofcolor.blogspot.com/"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2487/3893991088_d782aa7435_m.jpg" width="160" height="133" alt="ihpoc thumbnail 2" /></a></center>
Although I think I will always love my typepad blog and all these lovely faces! What is it about personal banners that can make one so happy! I guess it is the simple things in life eh?!
Don’t you feel like you are at the right place at the right time sometimes. I felt that way today when I was picking up my food from the Dinner Connection today. Across the street from the Red River Inn is Wenners Hardware Store and there was this lovely red car sitting there. Of course I have no clue who’s it is, but I was quick to snap some pictures of it between the other traffic coming and going down Main St.
Of course I love the pictures in color, but it was fun to capture them in black and white too since it just fit the vintage look with the old car and the old buildings. Yeah, it worked for me ;)!
What do you think of them, do you prefer them in color or black and white?
