The Day I Broke My UV Filter

On Thanksgiving I managed to break my UV filter on my 24-105mm lens. I can say that I am thankful for the fact that it only broken the UV filter, but I just can’t quite figure out how I didn’t realize it until I went to put the lens cap on my camera after I took this shot. I am not kidding, it was completely broken to pieces and yet it still took this shot. I think the only noticeable area is on the right side where it is a little blurry. Had I not pointed it out, you might not have noticed that it was ever there and assumed it was bokeh. Crazy right?! Anyway, a few dollars later, the UV filter is now replaced…a lens cap too. Glad that all is well and my camera works just fine.
