Project 365

At the beginning of 2011 I decided that it was time to do a Project 365 to increase my photography skills. I wasn’t alone in the adventure and surely it was a great experience. I have been posting those shots specifically over here  and here and on Facebook for those that know me there.

You just scrolled through all of these, thanks! I just shared three of my favorite shots from each month on the 2011 365 project. Some months I could only find 3 favorites, some of the other ones, I had a hard time choosing. It was an amazing ride and I am soooooo glad I was on it. Truly fun to watch my photography change and improve as time progressed.
Because I liked it so much, I am on the project again for 2012. The  nice thing is that I am not alone on it again and this time we are doing it with weekly assignments. The first week was shoes:
We are currently on a macro week. TOTALLY loving it! Next week I get to choose what the topic is, hmmm, what shall it be. In any case, if you have any desire to follow me as I continue that project, head over here. For other continuing random posts, stay here !

Grandbaby Photoshoot

A past co-workers of my husband’s took me up on a photo shoot and had it for her grandbabies. She has some cuties and it was fun to try and wrangle them into beautiful pictures. Sometimes you just have to chase and get their attention harder than others, but I will have to say, totally worth it for their precious smiles!

Beautiful Winter Day…in Minnesota

How does warmer than 50 degrees happen in Minnesota in January? I have no idea, but we surely enjoyed it!!

Summer Photoshoot–Baby L

I realized that in my hurry from this summer that I hadn’t been posting every single shoot I did. It is nice and quiet now so I am going to play a little catch up and see about posting what I have.

The hurry came this summer when we made an announcement that we were raising money to adopt a child from China. We were super excited to finally be moving forward and encouraged too that we can be raising money by doing the things we love. My photography with ihpoc Photography and my husband through his musical abilities with his recording studio. If anyone wants to record in the studio, they just need to make a donation to our adoption cause, same goes to the photography. We been having a lot of fun raising money and are truly blessed by everyone’s generosity. We are currently about 1/5 of the way to our goals for adoption. We are so excited about it and can’t wait to get further along in the process.

It was all fun and games, until Baby L said that was enough. Cute even when objecting!

Photo Assignment - Christmas Lights

I would have to say that the hardest camera club assignment to date has officially been Christmas Lights at night. Wowzer, it is hard. On top of it, taking out a tripod and putting it in front of someone’s house didn’t seem much like a stalker…yah right! I rested it on my car door and did my best or even hand held it…can you believe it?! Me either, except it was true. I was trying to keep it simple. In the end this is about all I came up with that day.

Hope you liked it. I don’t plan to do it again anytime soon!

Dining at Dickies

I was running errands with my daughter  the other day and decided that eating at Dickies that day would be great. Seriously, I love it there. The food is fantastic, my daughter ate for free, and the wood burning smell…made me feel so at home. Indeed a best ever moment for my daughter and I!
