Ordering Prints

IMG_1636

I have been experimenting between two different printing companies. Both are just fine for me in the end. This one above though was from WHCC. I have ordered from them more often than the Colorinc company that I have gotten things from twice now. I think I appreciate having options as I walk out trying to print out things.

The picture I had printed above was of Clarisse and I have  plans to do a fun collage thing in my living room (in the space where the TV once was), but I had to experiment with some different printing options. You know how you imagine something to look based on its words and then get it and go, “hmmm, that was not what I had in mind”  or  “yeah, that is exactly what I had in mind.”

This moment it was a “yeah, that is exactly what I had in mind” moment. This one above is an 11x14 sized picture printed on mat board. It is perfect. I have it setting in an old window frame in my office to keep it safe until I am able to finish my project. I love also seeing my photography printed out instead of just on computer screen.

Ooooh, this is fun!

Duncan in his element!

IMG_9008
Duncan was pretty excited when the summer when the undergrowth had begun to die away and he could play in the woods behind our house again. He had been able to do that quite well last spring, but with the brush, it was just impossible. In any case, they kids enjoyed making their fort and using the paths back there too. In fact they even had a little spot where they would leave scrap food for the “animals” to come and eat. It was all pretty cool!
The neighbor girl would often accompany the kids back there in there adventures. She is a wonderful little outside girl and has had great fun with my kids out there…until winter has frozen us out on most day…

Today’s Wintertime Scenes in Texture

IMG_1187 copyToday out on MCP Actions blog site they had a free texture action. I gave it a quick download and decided to give it a try. I like it very much and had fun using it on my outside snow shots (that I took just for you Rhonda :)!)

What do you get….

When you mix this:

IMG_1148_filtered

With this:

IMG_1144_filteredI know it is a strange combination, but Eric and Sara said they were a good mix and worth trying. So I thought about and realized that this was a very, very simple holiday treat that I could give it a try…

Here is the final look:

You know what, between Clarisse and I sampling them, we were actually impressed. They are a delightfully fun and refreshing little nibble. Clarisse’s main comment while smiling and enjoying them was, “Mom, I thought you said you wouldn’t be making any dessert?” Well the truth is that if they were all that easy, I would surely do it more often.

So here are the Cranberries Dipped in Chocolate final draft :)!

White Christmas at River of Life (1)

I just wanted to post a few pictures of the food that I took the other night at River of Life’s Inspire for Women Ministry Christmas time event. Food has always been a favorite of mine to photograph and this moment was no different. I don’t know who planned all the yummy treats, but they did an amazing job and the food was excellent!
