A Summer Wedding – L&D - Lake Elmo, MN Wedding Photographer

Summer brought us another amazing couple to photograph as they were moving into the great unknown of marriage. Although marriage is a little unknown to anyone entering, it sure is a great bit of fun and is incredible to celebrate with an fantastic wedding! I love being married and in turn LOVE being a part of other people’s entrance into theirs!
L&D planned a beautiful wedding in Lake Elmo. There is a great event center that does weddings so perfectly.



I enjoyed being with the bride while her mother assisted in getting ready for the day. Such precious moments!





The bride looked so amazing when she was all done getting ready. Wonderful!

When it was time for the first look it turned out perfect! Lots of playful fun.

Sneaking too…

They were both so happy to see each other at that time.


The first look between the couple was great, then the bridesmaids got to see the bride for the first time too. I loved their reaction to seeing her for the first time that day.


Next up on the agenda…formal portraits.

Stillwater is such a great place to take pictures. We had scoped out the locations with the bride and groom back in June so the schedule was perfectly mapped out for each location. I have some shots from the day, but my partner Cheryl has oh so many more! The catch with working with a partner is that any pictures I didn’t catch she did. So, sometimes my blog posts will be missing parts of the story, please someday head over to Cheryl’s blog and when she posts her pics, you will be quickly caught up.





Like I said, a few different locations…on to the next one.




Checking the list. Always good to know we are getting everything the bride hoped for the day.

After we achieved the portraits it was time for the ceremony. It was a very beautiful ceremony.





The bridal party dashed off with us to take some additional pictures and have a little decompression time before the reception began.











We returned back to the reception hall and the couple enjoyed a great evening celebrating love and friends!


We didn’t want to forget the signing of the license. I loved this corner at the reception….it felt so old time lounge. Just a personal enjoyment for me at that moment.

The couple enjoyed their first dances with each other and their parents…

Then the dance fun began.

…then it was time for the bride and groom to depart. Awwww, what a perfect day! With all the hot temperatures we had during the summer, I don’t think we could have picked a more perfect day than the one this turned out to be. So great!
