I love the beautiful skies in Minnesota during the summer. Here are just a few I snapped over the course of this year. I am amazed at the beauty in our world!

Before and After
I was just shooting from the hip the other day to capture this shot without him knowing what I was up to. Yep, discreetness at it’s best. But, because I didn’t have my eye on the my camera, I couldn’t actually see what I had gotten. so this was my sooc shot. Not so great right?
I played around with this shot a little but in Lightroom and came up with this edit. To be honest, I am thankful I was able to fix this shot and even make it better with some quick presets. I loved the vibrant colors, the beat up truck and I loved the tattooed guy in the truck…that was completely unaware of me. Yay! Now lets just hope he isn't someone's brother or something :)!

Coneflowers
I am so excited that the coneflowers are starting to really bloom. Beautiful colors and shapes! I do love any flowers that are “daisy” shaped. The simplistic beauty is breathtaking to me.
The “pre” full blossom was interesting to me this evening. I can’t say that I have ever noticed it’s structure before. Quite amazing in black and white and color.

Hanging with Friends
I was with some friends the other day listening to music and enjoying the summer. While visiting I would stop and wander around their property and snap shots of the kids. I love taking pictures of children. They are so willing to show their true selves. There is no faking it. Even when I was trying to take pictures of one little guy, he just wasn’t all that interested. Maybe another time if I have a really good bribe.

I decided that he was fabulously filthy. Dirty faces and little boys go hand in hand.

Since we were outside, I figured it was worth it to snap this shot. I sure do love how the bokeh turns out on my 85mm.
